Image
An award winning golf and ski resort, Giants Ridge is located on the shores of the Sabin and Wynne Lakes and across the water from Voyageurs Retreat. Voyageurs Retreat owners have access to all of the amenities at Giants Ridge in winter, spring, summer and fall.

Two award Winning Golf Courses

Giants Ridge is annually recognized for its two premier golf courses, which are open almost three full seasons each year. Recent accolades from Golf magazine and Golf Digest have recognized Giants Ridge as the most affordable place to golf in the nation, one of the 75 best golf resorts in North America, and as the number one premier resort of 2010.

Golfing – The Legend

The Legend at Giants Ridge is a challenging par 72 wandering over and through the spectacular north woods terrain. Recently ranked as one of the top public golf courses in Minnesota, the course features bent grass fairways, white sand bunkers, sparkling blue lakes, giant boulders and towering pines.

Golfing – The Quarry

Also ranked as a top public golf course in Minnesota, The Quarry offers a distinct experience, incorporating unusual scenic and dramatic elements to form a truly unique and challenging course. Golfers can expect deep hazards, high ridges, elevated tee boxes, and at times, narrow fairways and small greens.

Winter Wonderland

Giants Ridge is open all year, even after the snow has fallen. When the golf courses are closed, enjoy many of the winter activities offered throughout the Giants Ridge mountainous territory.

Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding

Giants Ridge has 35 trails for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, and is one of the top ski resorts in the Midwest. Trail highlights include the 4,000 foot long Easy Way—the longest trail in the park—and a 500 foot vertical drop for skiers and boarders who are seeking adventure.

Cross Country Skiing

For those who want to stick to a flat terrain, Giants Ridge has access to 60 kilometers of groomed cross country ski trails. The trail system was originally created for intensive training by the United States Ski Team, and provides ample skiing for recreational and serious skiers.

Additional Cross Country Experiences

Add some speed to your cross country adventure! Giants Ridge links directly to a 2,000 mile long trail system that spans the Superior National Forest. The trail system receives approximately 100 inches of natural snowfall each year!
